Roanoke, Virginia - Federal charges in Chicago against a Roanoke-based neo-Nazi leader have been dropped. Bill White, leader of the National Socialist Movement, has been in a federal lockup awaiting charges he used his website to incite violence. Tuesday morning a federal judge, citing the First Amendment, defended White's use of the internet. White will remain in jail after the prosecution filed a motion to stay. White's attorney, Chris Sheppard, said he hopes a bond hearing will be granted once that motion is decided. White still faces similar federal charges in Roanoke.
