Longview -- The self-described neo-Nazi who made threats from prison of retribution against a Woodland police officer is headed back to the penitentiary.
Ronald Michael White, 49, who last lived in Vancouver, was sentenced to two years in prison this month after pleading guilty in August to charges of riot and two counts of harassment by threatening bodily harm. He received an exceptional sentence and also was ordered to pay $1,766 in restitution and fines.
According to court documents, White was mad at a Woodland police officer who investigated a 2010 fraud case that sent White to prison for 19 months. In that case, White used his girlfriend's credit card to woo his estranged wife. He charged more than $8,500 on the stolen credit card buying gifts for her, according to court records.
In 2011, while still in prison, White wrote the Woodland officer as well as the police chief, accusing the officer of having affairs with both White's wife and the victim in the credit card case. He also wrote that he'd joined the Volksfront white supremacist movement and told his "new family" about the officer and how White claimed the officer had wronged him. He submitted requests for the officer's home address and inquired into his marital status, according to court records.
Once released in the fall of 2011, White also left a threatening voice mail for the officer, saying he was going to tell a believed Volksfront member about the officer.
White, after his Nov. 7, 2011, arrest on the harassment and threat allegations, claimed he was just trying to get the officer fired by spreading lies about him. A Woodland police report, though, stated the letters and calls were obvious threats, adding, "There is no other reason for referring to him being affiliated with Volksfront other than to intimidate."
White is a registered sex offender with a history of convictions for violent crimes, police and court records note.
The letters and call so alarmed the officer that he moved his wife and children out of their home, according to Woodland police reports. White was arrested three days later.
