Psychic John Edward might have the "ability" to talk to people who have gone to the great beyond and use them as a conduit to predict the future or reveal some lost truth about the present.
However, even Edward probably didn't see this news coming.
A dance teacher has filed a civil lawsuit against Edward asking for damages over a studio Edward owns in Plainview, New York. She is asking for $150,000.
The teacher, 28-year-old Kimberly Ziscand, accused Edward, his wife Sanra and the studio's co-owner of making her work for long hours for little compensation. She accused Edward of making her work 60 hours a week without providing her with overtime pay or other compensation for going over the 40-hour work week.
She also claimed he did not provide her with "promised commissions" for her work.
Ziscand also had harsh words for Edward and company. She not only said that her employers "stink," but of Edwards, he said, "I don't think he can talk to the dead."
The defendants, including Edward, have yet to respond to the lawsuit.
