One of two white supremacists accused of terrorizing residents of a small North Dakota town has pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a deal that spares him more jail time.
Kynan (KEE'-nuhn) Dutton pleaded guilty Friday to misdemeanor counts of menacing and disorderly conduct. He can no longer own guns and his deal requires him to testify against his co-defendant, Craig Cobb.
Cobb moved to the tiny town of Leith about two years ago and called on other white supremacists to join him. He wanted to amass a voting majority in the town of 23 residents so they could turn it into an Aryan enclave.
Dutton is the only man to heed Cobb's call. Prosecutors say the two had terrorized residents with guns.
