Maharshi Murder Proceedings Suspended

Criminal proceedings against a former Maharishi Uiversity of Management student accused of murder, are suspended indefinitely.

A Jefferson County District Judge has declared Shuvender Sem, 24, incompetent to stand trial.

He ordered that Sem be placed in a treatment program at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center at Oakdale.

Sem is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Levi Butler, 19, on March 1st.
