The Penza regional investigation authorities have referred the case of the Penza sect leader Pyotr Kuznetsov to court.
"A resolution has been signed today to refer the criminal case to a court and seek forced medical treatment for Pyotr Kuznetsov," Penza Regional Investigation Department spokesman Alexey Shatsky told Interfax.
"Investigators have established that Kuznetsov incited hatred and organized an association that infringed on citizens' rights. The case has been referred to the Bekovo district court at Kuznetsov's place of residence," Shatsky said.
"It's not known when the trial will be held," he said.
Kuznetsov could be forced to undergo six-month long medical treatment, after which he will be thoroughly examined again, the spokesman said.
No confinement is in store for Kuznetsov in the habitual sense of the word because he was declared insane, Shatsky said.
No ruling has been passed in relation to the authorities of the Bekovo district, where the sect members had dug a cave in which they were preparing to hide themselves, he said.
