A Jehovah's Witness teen in Manitoba who refused a blood transfusion will not have her case re-heard by the province’s top court.
The Manitoba Court of Appeal has turned down the girl’s application to rehear the case.
Earlier this year, the Appeals Court upheld a lower court ruling forcing the teen to receive blood for her Crone’s Disease.
Her lawyer argued she was a mature minor able to make her own health decisions.
In the end, the girl admitted she accepted the treatment before the case even went to the Court of Appeal.
The Jehovah’s Witness Religion prohibits the ingestion of blood.
