J.Lo And Jim Carrey Reportedly Turn To Scientology

Los Angeles -- It seems like a growing number of celebrities are becoming part of the Scientology family and we're still wondering what seems to be the huge fascination with the religion.

Sources say that Jennifer Lopez and Jim Carrey attended Tom Cruise's wedding because they have converted to Scientology.

Many people were surprised to see J.Lo and Carrey at TomKat's wedding in Italy, but it has been suggested they are linked by the Church of Scientology.

A source told the New York Post, "Jim is taking the introductory and beginner's courses in Scientology right now. J.Lo is a close friend of Scientologist Leah Rimini. She has started using Scientology phrases and explains the church to people. Leah has always talked to Jennifer about the church without pressuring her.

The source added, "Scientology appeals to J.Lo, because in the early stages, it is a lot of self-help."

J.Lo, 37, has reportedly turned to Scientology in an attempt to improve her chances of getting pregnant, but her singer husband Marc Anthony is said to be furious with her decision.

Anthony is a devout Catholic and has lashed out at the religion, which believes in alien life forms.

A representative for J.Lo has denied she has become a Scientologist, saying, "I have no knowledge of this, but I probably wouldn't have a comment on it if I did."

Carrey's representative has also refuted the claims, insisting, "He is not taking Scientology classes."
