Victoria Beckham denied that she and soccer superstar husband David Beckham have dabbled in Scientology and defended her spouse from recent claims of marital infidelity in a Marie Claire interview set to hit newsstands October 12.
"In England, David and I are big fish in a small pond. But in LA, we are tiny, tiny, tiny fish in a big pond. I mean, let's be honest about it. When you've got Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes living down the street as your neighbours, who gives a sh** about Victoria and David?" she told the magazine.
"We aren't Scientologists. We really don't know very much about it. I mean, Tom and Katie - they've mentioned it to us. But, no, they didn't try to hook us and reel us in," the 36-year-old former Spice Girl star said.
"It never really crops up. I'm very close to Katie, but with us, it's all about girl talk ... Katie is so talented and such an incredible mother, spinning plates like all us working mums do."

As for the state of her 11-year marriage to David Beckham amid tabloid rumours of marital infidelity, Beckham brushed it off and was full of praise for her husband.
David Beckham is currently suing Bosnian-born prostitute Irma Nici, 26, for £16 million ($26 million) over claims she made in the US lifestyle magazine In Touch.
"Before I became famous I used to think there's no smoke without fire. But believe me, there can be a fire without smoke," she told the magazine.
"We are still so close, David and I," she said. "We were at a party the other day at my mum's house and I was sitting on his lap. We're very affectionate. And I looked at him and thought after being married for 11 years, we were the only couple who were even near each other at that party. We're soul mates."
Asked about her husband's famously high-pitched voice, Beckham made it clear that it was hard to find fault with perfection.
"I don't really notice that he's got a high-pitched voice. I just think he's so godd*** perfect that people have to find something wrong with him," she said.
"We were about to go out somewhere the other day, and he was sending an email. He was sitting at the end of the bed, and he had no clothes on whatsoever," she added. "I was getting out of the shower, and I just stood there looking at him. He was all tan. Has all those tattoos, which I love. Hadn't done his hair. He just naturally looks good all the time."
