You might remember US actor Andrew Keegan from his role in 10 Things I Hate About You, but you’ve never seen him like this before.
The 35-year-old heart throb, who has also starred in 7th Heaven and Camp Nowhere, is the leader of a new “spiritual movement” called Full Circle in Los Angeles.
Vice reported that the church now has a growing body of followers, some of whom have dedicated their lives to Keegan’s mission.
They describe it as "advanced spiritualism" although the specifics of the religion seem unclear.
“I very much speak what comes through [while] in the collective,” Keegan said.
“We create a resonance of balance and equality of the crew.
“When you feel those chakras aligned, there's guided messaging coming in.
“If there is something of spiritual ego within that, it must not exist.”
The actor said he was first awakened on March 11 2011, when he and two friends were attacked by what he describes as gang members in Venice Beach.
“The significance of this occurrence is that it happened at the same time the tsunami hit Japan,” he said.
Keegan is not the first celebrity to ditch the fame game for religion, although Scientology poster boy Tom Cruise is arguably the most famous religious convert.
