"No one is allowed to have fellowship with me"

I supplied the information under the title "A Psychological Onslaught."When the leaders of the local "Assembly" stumbled upon it a month later--they told their people at a prayer meeting that I had "reviled the Assembly" and that no one is allowed to have fellowship with me. No details were given, just that I was a reviler.

This actually only affected my friendship with one dear friend who was the only one that really kept in contact with me after I left the group. That dear friend has not spoken to me since we talked a few days later--it has been 2 or three months now.

Their basis for forbidding fellowship with a reviler is in the Bible-- 1 Corinthians 5:9-11

• Verse 9 "I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators"
  
  
• Verse 10 "Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world."
  
  
• Verse 11 "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."

I agree with these scriptures. But the question is--am I really a "reviler" simply because I spoke out against George Geftaky's behavior and his tactics regarding those who dare to disagree with him? Clearly this does not in my opinion fit the biblical proofs they offered in any way.

Men such as Mr. Geftaky's need to be exposed and held accountable--obviously this is biblical see Galatians.

Now it is my understanding that unless I recant and rescind my permission for posting such information--I will remain banished from their fellowship. I told one of the Assembly leaders that I cannot recant my comments--since the content and substance of my remarks is true. To recant would be to deny the truth.

I also believe that affording others the opportunity to read about these issues was and is necessary to expose error and abuses.

It is interesting to note that they did not follow scripture in banishing me from fellowship, which is found within Matthew 18:15-17

• Verse 15 "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother."

But no one came to me first.

• Verse 16 "But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established."

However, they never came to me with two or three witnesses.

Verse 17 "And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican."

When I addressed these issues specifically one of the leaders responded saying, "God will take care of us."

Because they did not do as Christ commanded, their discipline is not only unbiblical, but also not binding. They are simply abusing their power, which can only be justly granted through scripture.

Apparently, if you are a member of George Geftaky's "Assembly"--exposing false doctrine and the abuse of power by leadership is somehow an offense.
