George Geftakys has made many claims about supernatural experiences in the Christian sense. These experiences range from simple answers to prayer to demonstrations of the miraculous.
For example at one seminar George told of a time when he was in Europe and severely depressed due to the bad overcast weather. He said after he prayed God would intervene to change this at that exact moment the clouds broke and a sunbeam shone down on him providing a joyous confirmation.
At other times George has claimed "Angels" in human form attend him. And he has inferred there were mystical happenings in his life, that if discovered, would amaze everyone. If only only we knew what divine conversations were taking place.
One particular supernatural encounter George claimed, which I found interesting, is a story George has told many times during his "messages." It goes like this. He was in a ministry with two other men and one night had a dream, within which the Lord spoke to George and said, "Why are you with these two other men? They don't love me!" Of course George dutifully followed the Lord's advice and left them.
But after leaving the George Geftakys Assembly I encountered a woman whose husband and another man were the very men apparently who once associated with George, that is, previous to his revelatory dream. However, she simply said her husband and the other man had actually decided themselves to cease associating with George because he became too authoritarian.
Was George's' dream really revelation or instead only a vain attempt to explain away and excuse the loss of these men in his ministry? Was it all supernatural or just his super ego?
