St. Louis - The Roman Catholic Church and St. Louis ministries have reached what is being called the largest clergy sex abuse settlements in Missouri.
The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests announced the 600-thousand-dollar settlement yesterday.
According to the group, the deal calls for the Diocese of Jefferson City and the Servants of the Paraclete to share in the payment.
The defendant, who is now in his late-30s, accused Reverend Gerald Howard of sexually abusing him while attending his Boonville parish 25-years ago.
