Diet pill and nutritional supplement maker Herbalife Ltd. said late Thursday its president and chief operating officer, Gregory L. Probert, has confirmed he didn't complete his MBA degree as stated in his biography.
The admission was prompted by an inquiry from The Wall Street Journal, the company said in a statement.
Officials at California State University, Los Angeles confirmed that Probert was enrolled in the graduate school MBA program for 12 quarters in the 1980s, but didn't finish his degree requirements.
The company said it is reviewing the matter and will take any appropriate action.
